Transdata Solutions signs collaborative agreement with the Energy Production & Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at UNC-Charlotte

August 28, 2018

SANFORD, NC, August 28, 2018 — Transdata Solutions, Inc. has entered into a Data Modeling collaboration agreement with the Energy Production & Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at UNC Charlotte. Under this collaboration, Transdata will provide EPIC with licenses for its patent-pending TRANSDATA® Visual Data Modeling software, as a well as onboarding services, in support of UNC Charlotte’s William States Lee College of Engineering energy-related education and research mission.

“Data aggregation, cleansing, and analytics are all a vital component of energy operations” said Dr. Badrul Chowdhury, EPIC’s Assistant Director for Strategic Initiatives and Duke Energy Distinguished Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. “This exciting collaboration with Transdata Solutions will be of tremendous benefit to our students and faculty as they examine various modeling scenarios.”

TRANSDATA, an end-user desktop software application implemented in the energy industry, empowers data workers to create complex visual data models, negating the need for reconstructing spreadsheets as data changes. TRANSDATA efficiently connects to disparate data sources, including misshapen (“ragged”) datasets, and normalizes them for analytic use. With TRANSDATA the data worker is able to rapidly design, execute, and automate an infinite number of data-generation tasks, with no programming, freeing-up their time to perform valuable analysis.

“We are pleased to be able to assist EPIC and the College of Engineering with their projects” stated Matt Sakurada, Transdata Solution’s Chief Executive Officer. “As an engineer I am thrilled that a future generation of engineers will be able to benefit from the many advantages TRANSDATA brings to their data analytics needs. In my time, we relied on slide-rules”.

Based in Sanford, North Carolina, Transdata Solutions, Inc. is the developer and publisher of the TRANSDATA Visual Data Model Designer and is focused on continually delivering a valuable application and quality professional services in support of its mission to help data workers convert raw data into actionable knowledge.
